Students take part in Park Run at nearby Stormont Park

Park Run is a community organisation that organises 5K course events in local parks throughout the UK. Many people take part either by running, jogging or walking and the events are managed by a large group of volunteers to help keep participants on track and provide support along the route. The atmosphere is very inclusive and encouraging and brings the local community together.

Mrs. Logue, cross-country coach and Home Economics teacher, invited students to join her at the event being held in Stormont Park which is very close to the College. A group of students and a few teachers entered the run and enjoyed being part of the whole event.

"It really is a lovely community event and fun to do as a group. Our pupils enjoyed the atmosphere and sense of being part of something bigger together".
