General News

Storehouse is a non-profit organisation based in Belfast. The work of Storehouse falls into one of three categories:

PROVISION  - Providing good quality essentials to all in need

COMMUNITY - Creating opportunities for anyone to step out of isolation into a positive, supportive community

GROWTH - Encouraging individuals to develop a healthy view of self and overcome hurdles to flourishing

As you can see, Storehouse plays a very important role in supporting those less fortunate not just in Belfast but around Northern Ireland. Our school as a whole was keen to show their support. The charity was discussed By Mr. McNerlin, Chrmistry Teacher and Head of Bowens (School), at assembly to help communciate why it was important to support Storehouse and the items they needed us to donate. After consulting with the organisers of the charity, pupils were asked to contribute donations of much needed underwear and winter hats, which were gathered by the Housemasters. Loose change was also collected by Mrs. Pearson in Home Economics department who encouraged us all to look in pockets and behind the sofa!

As you will see from the video and photos below, a very generous collection was achieved by our community. Thank you to everyone who helped us support Storehouse this year, they are incredibly grateful for our support.
