We recently featured a story on the Yate’s Egg Cup, which has been passed down to each Housemaster since it was first given to original Housemaster John W Yates in 1909 (follow this link to our story on it's heritage). Today, the Egg Cup has a new guardian as Mr. Ritchie McMaster has now taken over and was passed the cup by outgoing Housemaster Mr. Rodney Hall. Mr. Hall left the House with a few words of thanks for the fun over the years and his pride that they are current House Cup holders. He wished them the best of luck for success this year as they are currently in second place!
Mr. McMaster was thankful to receive the cup and added that having just come from School House for the last 5 years, he was surprised to learn that Yates’s was originally a boarding house. He told the boys how much he is looking forward to leading them and wished them luck with the exams ahead and all the good times they will share in the months and years to come.
Congratulations Mr. McMaster on your new appointment!
