OCs and guests met at The Ulster Reform Club on Friday 22nd November to hear guest speaker Raymond Brown talk about the imminent release of the book, OC Sporting Greats.
A short interview by Past President Mike McAllister allowed Raymond to passionately tell the attendees about those that helped in the collation of the book and discovering, not least, that there is a fourth OC who toured and represented, The British & Irish Lions.
The society was delighted to welcome a number of those contained within the book. Grandfather and Grandson, Dr Jimmy McKelvey & Matt McKelvey and Olympians Andrew Hunter and current President Julie Brown.
Guests enjoyed a three course meal and the society are, as always, grateful to our hosts The Ulster Reform Club for the service and general ambience that teh club provides.
The book will be available in the New Year and we will advise accordingly.
