On January 23rd, we commemorate the anniversary of the passing of Henry James Campbell (1813 - 1889). In keeping with tradition, a lone piper performed on the front steps to honour his legacy.

George Year 14, CCF Pipe Major

Henry James Campbell, a linen merchant and philanthropist, left a generous bequest in his will for the establishment of a school. The trustees of his will purchased the land in 1890, and Campbell College welcomed its first students in September 1894.
