Introducing the 2025/26 Prefect Team

Find out how our Prefects are stepping up to lead and represent Campbell College this year.

At Campbell College, being a Prefect is more than wearing a badge. It’s a privilege that comes with responsibility: to lead by example, to represent the College with pride, and to help shape the experience of those around you.

Since their appointment earlier this year, our Senior Prefect Team has embraced this challenge, stepping into roles that connect pupils across year groups and strengthen our community. From welcoming new Year 8 pupils at induction days to introducing themselves to Junior School during assembly, their work has been about building relationships and setting the tone for the year ahead.

This term also saw the launch of student-led assemblies, a new initiative driven by the prefects themselves. Academic Deputy Head Prefect Joseph Gooding led sessions on revision and study techniques, while Head Prefect Alfie Parker and Deputies Oli Armstrong and Sam Robinson delivered “Getting Involved” assemblies, encouraging pupils to explore music, sport, and volunteering opportunities.

Beyond assemblies, the team has supported House competitions, assisted with SEAG assessments, and even taken on projects to improve student wellbeing. Senior Prefect Zachari Gavaghan spearheaded the redesign of the Wellbeing Lounge, creating a welcoming space for younger pupils to relax during breaks.

Reflecting on the role, Head Prefect Alfie shared:
“Since being appointed, we’ve had the chance to represent the school, organise events, and get to know boys across the College. It’s been a privilege to lead and make a difference.”

As we look ahead, we hope every Prefect continues to embrace what this role truly means: to lead with integrity, to inspire others, and to leave a lasting impact on College life.
