The 2026 Spring Concert took place on Friday 20th March in a full Central Hall. The audience was treated to a varied programme that reflected the hard work of pupils and staff across all sections of the Music Department.

The Senior Band opened the evening with Armed Forces on Parade arranged by Michael Sweeney. The strong, assured sound set the tone for what followed. The atmosphere shifted as the Pipe Band stepped onto the balcony for Last of the Great Whales by Andy Barnes. The music carried across the hall and created one of the most memorable moments of the night.

The joint bands continued the programme with a confident set, and the highlight was Killaloe arranged by R. Martin, which drew an enthusiastic response from the audience. The Jazz Band followed with Moves Like Jagger by Maroon 5, a lively performance that quickly became a crowd favourite.

The String Ensemble brought a change of pace with a beautiful performance of the Waltz from Sleeping Beauty by Tchaikovsky. The clarity of the playing and the sensitivity of the ensemble added real poise to the evening.

The Middle School Band delivered their customary mix of musicianship and fun. The Great Escape featured kazoos and raised smiles throughout the hall, and the Senior boys added extra energy with balcony choreography during Blame It on the Boogie. The Percussion Group maintained the momentum with a tight and engaging set that showcased impressive teamwork.

The Middle School Choir, Guitar Group, Rock Group and Senior Choir each contributed to a broad and balanced programme, demonstrating the depth of musical involvement across the College.

The evening concluded with the full ensemble performing John Farnham’s You’re the Voice. It was a powerful and unifying finale that brought the concert to a fitting close.

Congratulations to all pupils and staff involved. Thank you to our supportive Campbell community for helping make the Spring Concert a highlight of the school year.
A recording of the evening is available on YouTube for those who wish to watch again.
