Pupils attend Remembrance Day focused event at Strand Arts Centre

During Remembrance week, the Strand Arts Centre hosted our Men Behind The Glass exhibition. Over 500 people came to Strand to view the exhibit,  we hope you were able to get out to see it again after all this time! If you would like to know about our Men Behind The Glass project, click here.

To coincide with Remembrance Day, The Strand Arts Centre organized a free screening of the film 'They Shall Not Grow Old' in collaboration with INTO Film. This documentary produced, by Peter Jackson in 2018, features archive footage from the Imperial War Musem in London.

The Headmaster, OCs and pupils from the A Level Drama and Moving Image Arts classes attended the screening. Afterwards, the some pupils performed monolgues and songs from the Men Behind The Glass musical written by Campbell College drama teacher Mrs McIlvenny. Performers include Head Prefect Flynn, Year 14 (Dobbin's), Harry, Year 14(Allison's) and Stratheran student Rebekah who sang 'Though I will grow old', written by drama teacher Mrs McIlvenney and past teacher David Catherwood.

Special thanks to our teachers Mrs McIlvenny and Ms Anderson who accompanied our students and to our performers for adding to the poignancy of the occassion. We would also like to thank MIA student Arseny, Year 14 (School) who took photos and video from the event, featured in our media gallery. Remember, you must be logged in to see the gallery as images are private to our community.
