Campbell College pupils were given a special treat when they recently welcomed world-renowned film and television producer, Mark Huffam CBE, into the College. Also a current parent and an Old Campbellian, Mr Huffam has been instrumental in the production of a plethora of Hollywood blockbusters. His work has included films such as Saving Private Ryan, The Martian, Mamma Mia, and most recently he was producer for the Ridley Scott-directed Napoleon. Pupils had the chance to learn about the wide range of career possibilities on offer in film; from production to prop design, special effects to costume design and much more. The boys had the chance to look at a number of props from various film sets and understand the career opportunities that exist within the vibrant film industry right on their doorstep in Belfast.
Thanks go to Mr Huffam for taking the time to come and talk to our pupils and for inspiring the next generation of film producers!
