The Art Department held an Art & Design and Moving Image Arts Exhibition for parents and friends to view pupils' A Level and GCSE work. The exhibition featured course work in portfolios, sketchbooks and their final exam assigments. There was a large bank of work for everyone to view, it was an exceptional amount of work with a broad range of art styles on view.
A level Art pupils prepared work 'inspired by the letter F' so consequently you willl see images featuring faces, figures, fruit, fashion, flora, fauna, etc. Pupils' work could include a range of fine art media including photography and one student focused on graphic design. Pupil's work was diplayed in frames and easels as well as in their notebooks and larger A2 portfolios. Congratulations to Ethan, Year 14 (Alden's) who was awarded the Headmaster's Prize. Ethan's painting of the crocodile will be displayed at Front of House next year for everyone to enjoy!
GCSE Art pupils's work is displayed on easels and also includes a sketch book and portfolio work. The brief for GCSE was Combine, so you will see that their artwork will feature mixed elements such as patterns, collages, etc.
The show also included a small display by the Key Stage 3 Art Club, which meets after school every Wednesday. They focused on creatures of Campbell so you will see a range of drawings, painting and 3D masks of the animals that you might see around our campus.
We have provided an extensive photo gallery so that you can view our pupils' work. Please note that you must be logged into the Hub to see the gallery. You may also like to visit our recent Spotlight on Moving Image Arts to see more of our pupils' work.
Congratulations to all our young artists whose talent really shone through in this exhibition. Many people who attended said they felt inspired to try making art themselves. Well done to all involved!
