Week three on campus has been warm and the sun has been shining through the trees. Our grounds team has been busy clearing away some of the diseased trees that have been subject to ash die back. This is a long process and the team have been working hard to clear away the resulting logs and debris of the trees.
The facilities team has also been hard at work continuing with maintenance around the school including the Front of House area and the Junior Common Room. As you will see from our pictures, a lot of progress has been made since we last posted.
The kitchen team has been busy too, looking after three large groups of summer camps from Belfast Youth Musical Theatre and the Northern Ireland National Youth Choir. With many of the visitors using our accommodation too, it has been a round the clock operation of preparing and clearing meals! As you can imagine, with so much musical talent visiting us, the corridors have been ringing with the beautiful sounds from their sessions.
We have also enjoyed seeing younger boys and girls from the summer camp, who have been making good use of all the facilities at Campbell. When not sheltering from the sun, the children have been having a lot of fun on the tennis courts, hockey pitches and playing in our beautiful grounds. They also seem to enjoy chasing our resident seagulls!
It really has been a week of sounds - chainsaws cutting trees, sanding and drilling, piano playing and singing, laughter... and seagulls. We hope you enjoy the photos this week, we will bring you more in a few weeks' time.
