Moving Image Arts student receives recognition for short film

We were delighted to learn that Moving Image Arts student Arseny, Year 14 (School) was shortlisted for his film 'It's a nightmare' for the Best AS Film category at the CCEA Moving Image Arts Showcase 2022. Each shortlisted film was selected by a panel of experts, including representatives from Northern Ireland Screen, INTO Film, ScreenWorks, Foyle Film Festival, BFI Film Academy the Northern Ireland Creative Learning Centres, Cinemagic and CCEA Senior Teams.

Our Moving Image Art students attended the Showcase to support Arseny who came 4th place on the day. We spoke with Arseny in the Art department, to learn more about the inspiration for his film and his experience of watching it on the big screen with his friends:
