The College recently launched a new Wellbeing Lounge for pupils in Years 8-10. This age group has had a particularly difficult time during the pandemic and so a safe, quiet space has been created in school where they can meet and seek advice or just to enjoy the company of peers and older Wellbeing Ambassadors.
The initiative has been pupil-led from the start, with Robbie in Year 13 providing the initial ideas and impetus. You will hear Robbie, and some of his fellow Ambassadors, discussing the objectives of the Wellbeing Ambassador programme and the lounge in more detail in this video.
As you have heard, our enthusiastic Ambassadors are committed to providing a great service to the younger pupils and the Wellbeing Lounge is very popular. We are very proud of their commitment and all they have achieved so far.
Our Ambassadors mentioned the popularity of games which are being well used! If you have any games in good condition that you no longer need, please consider donating them to the lounge.
If you would like to learn more about this subject, please contact Mr. Will Keown, Vice Principal, Pastoral Care, who will be happy to talk to you in more detail. You will also find some helpful resources in the Firefly Virtual Wellbeing Hub.
